Conceived for the 16^th Biennale of Sydney (2008), this video installation is presented for the first time in Brazil and occupies one of the largest exhibition spaces of Instituto Inhotim. From a Russian expression that denies one’s responsibility on something that happened (literally translated as the title of this piece), it is part of a series of works developed by the artist while he was producing his version of the opera The Nose (1928), by the Russian composer Dmitri Shostakovich (1906-1975).

The eight large-scale, looped screenings combine archive images, movie excerpts, animation movies, as well as acting scenes of Kentridge himself.
