Designed by architect Paulo Orsini, Galeria Praça was inaugurated in 2004. It is one of the most visited galleries at Inhotim, and also serves as a meeting point. The name is a reference to its central localization, between the entrance hall, the Inhotim Design Shop, and the crossing of the three visiting axes.

In it, there are three long-term works on exhibition: Forty Part Motet (2001), by Janet Cardiff, as well as Abre a porta (2006) and Rodoviária de Brumadinho (2005), by John Ahearn and Rigoberto Torres. Galeria Praça also has an extra room and a covered freestanding space for temporary exhibitions.
